TFWA World Exhibition & Conference opens in Cannes

TFWA World Exhibition and Conference 2023

The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference kicked off last night with an opening cocktail at the Carlton hotel in Cannes, France. The exhibition opens officially this morning at the Palais des Festivals and will run until Thursday October 5.

The TFWA says the event has seen a record number of delegates pre-registering. The show is set to span over 25,000m2 (269,098ft2), including the newly added Majestic Beach Village.

Erik Juul-Mortensen, TFWA President, said the event will see the return of many regular exhibitors as well as 88 new and returning participants across all product categories. He added that the TFWA is also anticipating visitor numbers to reach or surpass 2019 levels.

The TFWA i.lab returns this year to present the latest industry innovations from a new central location within the Palais des Festivals. The dedicated space will showcase 15 exhibiting companies, including an activation area, where participants can network and promote their ideas from a pitch stage. BW Confidential is media partner of the i.lab.

This year’s event will also feature a refreshed programme, including a range of learning, networking and social opportunities.

The opening conference at the event features a line-up of international expert speakers, including American journalist and author Bob Woodward; professor and author Erin Meyer; and economist, entrepreneur and author Pippa Malmgren.

Two workshops will take place: The TFWA Airport Forum on Tuesday October 3 and the ‘Duty Free: Trusted, Transparent, Secure’ anti-illicit trade campaign on Wednesday October 4.

BW Confidential will once again host The Beauty Party during the Cannes week, on Monday October 2. The Beauty Party is organized in association with key travel retailer Qatar Duty Free.

The Beauty Party is also kindly sponsored by Asian distribution company LUXASIA, LVMH-owned cruise retailer Starboard Cruise Services, French fragrance house MANE, fragrance diffusion specialist Scentys and Swiss beauty brand MAVALA.
