Ulta Beauty closes all locations until March 31

US-based beauty retailer Ulta Beauty will close all of its 1,254 locations due to the spread of COVID-19. Closures will begin March 19 and end March 31, at the earliest, the company said in a statement.

Ulta will continue paying its store and salon associates during the period and continue to provide benefits to those who are enrolled.

The Ulta Beauty mobile application and company website remain operational.

As reported, Ulta Beauty ceo Mary Dillon said during the company’s full-year results conference call last week that its stores were beginning to see footfall impacted due to COVID-19, but that this varied according to market. On the other hand, she said the e-commerce business had continued to perform strongly.
