The annual “une Rose, une Caresse” (a Rose, a Caress) fundraising day is to take place on May 18 in the gardens of the Musée International de la Parfumerie in Mouans-Sartoux, France. The event is organized by The Club des Entrepreneurs du Pays de Grasse, with the help of its volunteers, and funds raised go towards the CEW Beauty Center at Grasse’s hospital.
The CEW Beauty Center provides beauty and well-being treatments (socio-aesthetic and reflexology) for patients suffering from serious pathologies at the hospital in Grasse. The donations aim to ensure that these treatments continue to be offered free of charge to patients. CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) runs 42 beauty centers at hospitals in France.
The fundraising event aims to collect €90,000 in donations. It will offer more than 20 workshops throughout the day. New for 2025 are workshops on photo-therapy, knitting, Kobido (Japanese massage) and low-level laser therapy. A self-massage and facial yoga workshop will also be held by French vegan skincare brand La Canopée.
In addition, a candle called “Rose Chic” will be on sale. The candle is described as having a chypre cologne fragrance and is the result of a collaboration between perfumers Hélène Prévot (for the formula) and Marie Duchène (for the materials). It was created and manufactured in Grasse.
The fundraising campaign in 2024 raised €81,000 thanks to 74 corporate partners, private donors and public partners. There were 600 visitors/donors on the fundraising day, raising a total of €10,400. Some 80 volunteers from the Club des Entrepreneurs du Pays de Grasse were involved in the campaign.
When the CEW Beauty Center opened in Grasse in 2008, a socio-aesthetician worked one day a week. Now, as a result of the donations from individuals and companies over the years, two socio-aestheticians work three days a week and one reflexologist works two days a week, providing over 2,100 treatments to 2,000 patients each year. One hour of treatment costs €35.
