German beauty retailer Douglas announced that ceo Tina Müller will be absent from the company following emergency surgery. It added that for the moment it is uncertain when Müller will be able to resume her responsibilities as ceo.
The Douglas supervisory board has appointed Vanessa Stützle as chief digital officer and third member of the management board alongside Müller and Douglas Group cfo Matthias Born with immediate effect.
Stützle and Born will jointly take over the tasks of Müller in the interim.
As executive vice president e-Commerce & CRM, Stützle has been responsible for Douglas’ online business since January 2018 and for CRM since July 2019. Under her leadership, Douglas’ e-commerce business has grown more than 50%.
“In these difficult times, we are grateful that Tina Müller has built up a strong management team, so that we can now expand the management board with a proven top executive from our own ranks. The Corona crisis emphasizes the strategic importance of the e-commerce business for Douglas,” comments chairman of the Douglas supervisory board Henning Kreke.
