Estée Lauder Companies donates to COVID-19 relief funds

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) corporate foundation The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation (ELCCF) has provided funding to COVID-19 relief organizations worldwide.

The foundation donated a $2m grant to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to support the coronavirus global response in under-resourced and highly impacted countries.

ELCCF also provided a grant to The NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund, which assembles multiple philanthropic partners in a joint effort to address the coronavirus outbreak. The $75m fund will provide support to New York City’s social services and cultural community organizations.

In China, ELCCF donated some $800,000 to relief efforts like the Red Cross Society of China, Shanghai Charity Foundation and Give2Asia.

Another $1.4m worth of in-kind donations were provided to the China Women’s Development Foundation to support front line medical staff.

As the situation evolves, ELC will continue to allocate philanthropic resources based on emerging needs, prioritizing food, medical and emergency assistance.
