Foreo reveals global initiatives in fight against COVID-19

Foreo released four initiatives its taken to support the global fight against COVID-19

Swedish skincare company Foreo has highlighted four initiatives it has taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company says it reacted quickly to move retail staff from the shop floor to working from home. Staff continued working via digital channels, with live Q&As on Instagram and virtual skincare consultations. Foreo HQ employees were fully supported to transition to at-home working.

Foreo launched a TikTok initiative entitled #watchingyoutouch to make the public aware of how often they touch their face, putting them at risk of contracting the virus. Some 500,000 people have watched the challenge, with influencers also participating.

The company also started a #ThankTheHeroes global campaign, sharing the stories of key workers fighting the pandemic. Instagram users can nominate essential workers by tagging @foreo and #ThankTheHeroes.

As reported, in February Foreo donated 2,500 protective suits to assist medical staff in three Chinese hospitals, including Hubei Yangxin County People’s Hospital, Huanggang City Xishui County People’s Hospital and Huanggang City Yingshan County People’s Hospital.

The company sourced the protective clothing from Europe when the country’s hospitals were facing a shortage of supplies.

Foreo has Asian headquarters in Shanghai.
