Trade show organizer Easyfairs has postponed its Paris packaging trade show ADF&PCD and PLD Paris to January 19-20, 2022. The event had already been pushed back from its usual January date this year to June.
The decision to move the show was due to the uncertainty relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organizer claims that the ongoing ban on in-person events, continuing pandemic-related restrictions, the current progression of the virus in France, and elsewhere, in addition to the new lockdown imposed in Paris and other French regions, have made it impossible to organize the event in the short term.
This week the show will host its first-ever ADF&PCD and PLD Digital Days, which is described as offering an opportunity for packaging developers, designers and suppliers to learn about the latest trends and innovations in the industry. Speakers will include senior packaging experts from brands in the beauty, drinks and FMCG markets, as well as from suppliers.
Additionally, the shortlists for the 2021 edition of the ADF&PCD and PLD Innovations Awards will be announced.
ADF&PCD and PLD Paris has also strengthened its social-media activity and claims to now have the largest following of any premium packaging-focused account on Instagram. Additionally, a new regular series of Innovation Talks webinars will launch this spring.
