Trade show organizer Easyfairs has postponed its Paris packaging trade show ADF&PCD and PLD Paris to June 29 and 30, 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show had been slated to take place on January 19-20, 2022.
Easyfairs had already postponed the show from June 2021 to January 2022.
The trade show organizer said that after consulting with the event’s key stakeholders, it would be impossible to run a successful event in January. Some 50% of show exhibitors and 30% of visitors were slated to come from outside France for the January show.
Many countries are re-imposing travel restrictions due to the current rise in COVID-19 cases, notes the company, while new cross-border travel restrictions have been implemented since the emergence of the Omicron variant. Additionally, the French government recently said that citizens would require a third dose of vaccine for their health pass to remain valid by January 15, which would have been just four days before the event.
