BW Confidential celebrates 15 years & presents Avolta with Beauty Retailer of the Year Award

BW Confidential Editor in Chief Oonagh Phillips presents the Beauty Retailer of the Year Award to Avolta CEO Xavier Rossinyol

 

Executives from the international beauty industry came together last night to celebrate BW Confidential’s 15th anniversary at The Beauty Party in Cannes, and to recognize retail excellence with BW Confidential’s Beauty Retailer of the Year Award. 

The Beauty Party took place at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference. 

BW Confidential presented the Beauty Retailer of the Year Award to travel retail player Avolta

Xavier Rossinyol, Avolta CEO, accepted the Award at the event.

Having successfully come through the dark days of the Covid pandemic, Swiss travel retailer Dufry and travel food and beverage company Autogrill joined forces in 2023 to create a new company, whose new name was revealed as Avolta at the end of last year. 

The combination created a company with greater scale, that is more diversified, more resilient and able to create hybrid concepts that better respond to the needs of today’s travelers. 

Avolta now operates in 73 countries and 1,000 locations, with over 5,100 points of sale across three segments: duty-free, food & beverage and convenience, and a range of channels, including airports, motorways, cruises, border shops and downtown. 

Rossinyol gave an inspiring speech and talked about how he sees retail today and how he expects it will evolve.
