Cosmetic 360 opens today

Cosmetic 360 runs from October 12 to 13 in Paris’ Carrousel du Louvre

French cosmetics cluster Cosmetic Valley’s trade show Cosmetic 360 kicks off today, running until October 13 in Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre. The show highlights innovations in the cosmetics and fragrance industry.

The event is set to welcome 5,000 visitors and host 220 exhibitors. In terms of exhibitors, 30% are from outside France and represent 70 countries.

This year’s edition will focus on digital innovations, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), and will include a new theme, called “AI Universe.”

Cosmetic 360 claims that AI has been at the center of the beauty industry’s changes for areas such as personalization, eco-design, e-commerce and the rise of virtual worlds. To respond to the shift, the show will feature a string of initiatives to helps visitors and exhibitors better understand how to use and deploy AI technology.

For example, the event will feature an AI activation zone in partnership created in partnership with Choose Paris Region and the Île-de-France region. Additionally, at the TechCorner AI a CNRS lab will present a skin diagnostic tool that allows users to develop personalized products.

The show will host a series of conferences dedicated to AI, while the show’s Awards will also feature a Jury’s Choice AI prize this year.

The Cosmetic 360 Award winners will be announced on October 12. Some 18 nominees have been shortlisted for innovations in six categories including raw materials, packaging and brands & retail.
