Cosmetic Victories prizes awarded on Cosmetic Valley TV

The Cosmetic Victories awards ceremony, which recognizes innovative projects in beauty, was held as a digital event last night. The awards, now in their sixth year, are organized by French industry cluster Cosmetic Valley with the support of the Essec business school. The Cosmetic Victories comprise two awards:

The Industry Prize (for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small-to-medium sized companies) went to Poland-based InventionBio SA for its smart delivery system based on green chemicals that can reduce a product’s volume and, therefore, cost. The solution can also improve product’s odor and color, claims InventionBio.

The Academic Prize (for young graduates, researchers and Ph.D. students) went to France’s Université de Pau et Pays de l’Adour for a new version of bio-based microgels, which allows for cosmetics’ active ingredients to gradually be absorbed into skin.

The winners received a check for €10,000 and will also be provided with support from Cosmetic Valley.

Cosmetic Valley received a total of 81 applications from 13 countries for the awards. Six finalists were in the final running for the awards.

The projects were judged by a panel of scientific experts and executives from beauty companies, such as LVMH, Shiseido and Sisley, among others.

The event was held on Cosmetic Valley TV, the online platform Cosmetic Valley launched earlier this year. Cosmetic Valley TV hosts online press conferences, in addition to industry and economic video content pertinent to the beauty industry. Video content is available for replay and is free.
