Exhibitor numbers at the Cosmoprof Asia show are up 5% to 2,688 compared with 2024, Angel Fu Event Director – Beauty at Informa Markets said at a press conference today.
The Cosmoprof Asia show is taking place this week in Hong Kong.
There are exhibitors from 46 countries and regions, with 89% from outside Hong Kong. With the debut of the new BIFA (Beauty Ingredients & Formulation Asia) area of the show, Fu says the show now offers a three-in-one format.
Citing figures from Euromonitor International, Margaret Ma Connolly, President and CEO – Asia at Informa Markets, said that the global beauty and personal-care market is projected to reach $690bn in 2025, with Asia Pacific to contribute over $230bn by 2028 and to drive over 50% of future beauty sales. She adds that the market is being transformed by innovations, especially in skincare, as well as the proliferation of digital channels to promote and sell, such as live streaming and social commerce.

Connolly said the show has seen significant growth of visitors from key markets China and India, but also increased interest from Europe, as well as South America and South Africa.
Francesca Donati, Head of International Marketing for Asia at BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, highlighted the show’s new focus on fragrance, with its two sections Fragrance Avenue and Explorers by Esxence presenting 17 companies and 23 brands. In addition, the 5C Fragrance Experience organized with creative agency Centdegrés, fragrance house MANE and Chinese company Boitown, offers visitors a personalized fragrance based on their personality.

Another new project this year is the Elite Circle, an invitation-only breakfast roundtable with beauty industry leaders and C-level executives for discussions on topics such as sustainability, AI and Gen Z, which was held yesterday November 11.
Meanwhile, this year’s Cosmoprof Asia Awards received more than 424 submissions. Some 44 finalists were selected, which were judged by 20 global jury members. There will be 11 winners, announced this afternoon at an Awards ceremony.
New projects for 2026
The companies announced a new initiative for 2026, Cosmoprof Connect Dubai, a matchmaking event which will be held in the city on April 14-15. It aims to connect brands from international countries and buyers from the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. Angel Fu said Cosmoprof chose Dubai for its location that enables East to meet West, as well as its booming beauty market.
