Esxence 2025 opens today in Milan

The 15th edition of Esxence opens its doors today at the Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Centre in Milan, Italy. BW Confidential is media partner of the event, and our team is on the ground at the show to bring the latest news and trends from the show.

The four-day event runs from February 19-22 for professionals, with the general public invited to attend on February 22. The theme of this year’s edition is Masters of Dreams, referring to master perfumers.

The event will feature 384 brands, 70% of whom come from outside Italy. Some 38 different countries will be represented at this year’s show.

Spanning more than 16,000m2 (172,222ft2), the venue will host distributors, buyers, industry professionals and fragrance enthusiasts. Exhibitors include both well-established and emerging brands, which are selected by a Technical Committee of global experts.

Esxence will also host meetings and workshops led by international experts, scholars and researchers for both professionals and enthusiasts. The conference room will be open to the public for all four days of the event.

The venue will host the fifth edition of Experience Lab. Originally conceived as a response to the evolving needs of a digitized consumer looking for products beyond mainstream or widely recognized brands, Experience Lab is said to be the first Italian event connecting industry professionals and the public with niche brands.

Silvio Levi, Co-founder of Esxence, said: “We are aware of the international political and social situation, which has seen wars, controversial elections, the return of customs barriers and tariffs, rising energy costs, an increasing impact of climate change, surprising financial crises, emigrations from very poor countries or countries with ethnic wars to other economic realities. A general framework that has affected the global market and the luxury market in particular. In recent years, however, we have been able to see that attention to the world of perfume has steadily increased, demand has not contracted and artistic perfumery in particular has been the subject of attention from major investors and many new brands continue to be created.”

Maurizio Cavezzali, Co-founder of Esxence and CEO of Equipe Exibit, stated: “Given the increasing success of the event and with the aim of ensuring ever higher quality, in the future we will pay even more attention to the selection of brands by the Technical Committee, creating a parterre of excellence with a limited number. We will also continue the internationalization process in the strategic markets in collaboration with ITA – Italian Trade Agency, which for this edition will bring more than 20 operators from Brazil, China, South Korea, UAE, Japan, India, Mexico and the United States, and will take care of communication activities in the American market. Thanks to our established partnership with Cosmoprof, we will explore the opportunity to expand to other continents.”
