China-based fragrance company Eternal is to present the findings of its 2025 China Perfume & Fragrance Industry whitepaper at an event during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes. The event will be held on Tuesday September 30 from 4.30pm-6.30pm in Auditorium K of the Palais des Festivals, with a networking session from 4pm.
Called “Unlocking the scent of China’s future”, the event aims to provide insights into the Chinese consumer landscape and will explore how brands can enter the country’s fragrance market.
It will start with a session presenting the key conclusions of the whitepaper, which has been produced in partnership with consultancy Deloitte. It will analyze the structural shifts in consumer trends in China, including the mainstreaming of home fragrances and the evolving role of fragrances in emotional wellbeing.
This will be followed by two panel sessions that will explore the perfume market in China. The first session will feature Eternal CEO Chole Lam; Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas; Patrizio Stella, CEO of beauty company Give Back Beauty; and Jose Santiago Moreno Wolters, dsm-firmenich’s Global Marketing Sciences Director for Fine Fragrance, who will discuss China’s fragrance consumer and future trends.
The second session focuses on how to navigate entry into the Chinese market. Viola Wang, COO of Eternal, will share how the company can help brands looking to expand to China; Michelle Sun, Assistant General Manager of China Duty Free Group; and Cindy Zhong, Eternal’s Director of General Affairs.
