The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference kicked off tonight with a packed opening cocktail party at the Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay in Singapore.
The conference and exhibition will take place tomorrow and open with a state-of-the industry address from TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen, followed by remarks from APTRA President Sunil Tuli and Alvin Tan, Minister of Trade and Industry for Singapore.
Also at the conference, author and economist Keyu Jin will outline her perspectives on the economic outlook of Asia Pacific, while business marketing expert and author Nirmalya Kumar will discuss the Indian market. Closing the conference, physicist, author and professor, Dr Michio Kaku will discuss how technology will impact the duty-free and travel-retail industry.
In addition to the conference, the event will host two workshops: China Watch and Decoding Today’s Dwell Time.
This year, for the first time, the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition area will open on the same day as the conference, with delegates having access to the exhibition from 2.30pm.
Some 234 companies will exhibit at the show this year, with 75 new exhibitors.
The TFWA i.lab, a showcase for tech and retail solutions, will also be hosted once again at the show this year.
