Duty-free and travel-retail association TFWA’s Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference will be held in-person in 2022. The show will return to Singapore and take place from May 8 to 12, 2022.
The news follows what TFWA calls encouraging discussions between the organization and its partners in Singapore. It claims that steps to ensure the sustainable restart of international travel are underway.
Singaporean authorities have announced new Vaccinated Travel Lanes that will open later this month. The lanes mean that vaccinated travelers flying from Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the US, in addition to the earlier announced Germany and Brunei, will no longer need to quarantine when they arrive in Singapore. Additionally, Singapore and South Korea will launch a Vaccinated Travel Lane on November 15.
More details on the show will be announced soon. The commercial campaign for the event will begin in mid-November, at which point previous exhibitors at the event will be contacted by the TFWA team.
Last year’s show was slated to take place physically in Hainan, but was moved to an all-digital format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
