The TFWA has postponed its TFWA Asia Pacific Hainan Special Edition to June 21-24 due to the health situation and state of travel. The event was slated to take place from May 10-13.
The association made the decision after consulting with its local partners and assessing the situation for regional and global travel.
TFWA says the decision is intended to allow delegates in Asia and elsewhere to participate.
In addition to an on-site event in Hainan, delegates will be able to take part from distance via streamed content and virtual TFWA One2One meetings.
“We believe that the change of dates makes sense given the evolution of the health and travel situation around the world. We know that there is great demand for a live event that meets the current needs and budgets of brands and buyers, and we are confident that Hainan is the perfect venue for such an event. The new date will also allow delegates to visit the many new retail developments in Hainan, both in Sanya and Haikou,” commented TFWA president Jaya Singh.
