The TFWA is pushing ahead with its plans to host an in-person event for the World Exhibition & Conference, scheduled to take place from September 26 to 30 in Cannes, France. As reported in March, the TFWA is to launch a hosted buyer program to support industry players looking to participate in the event
The program sees the TFWA give assistance to retailers to meet the accommodation costs of buyers and category managers attending this year’s event. Information on the initiative is currently being shared with travel retailers worldwide, the association says.
The TFWA added that it is continuing to monitor the global situation and is working closely with the city of Cannes authorities to ensure the show takes place in a safe and secure environment.
TFWA president Jaya Singh said: “The recovery of our industry will depend on strong partnerships between stakeholders, and we are determined that our events will play a vital role in bringing businesses closer together. We trust our hosted buyer program will provide much-needed support to our retailer partners, and enable both buyers and exhibitors to make the most of the networking opportunities that TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will offer.”
